Meet the Chef
Shannon White, owner and Executive Chef, found her calling to cuisine in 5th grade while her peers aspired to be doctors or lawyers, she always knew that she would be in the culinary art industry.
In 2013, Chef Shannon graduated with honors from L’Ecole Culinaire of Memphis, landing her first position as a cook at Methodist Hospital. It wasn’t until 2 years later while working as a line cook that Chef Shannon decided to embark on a journey to start her own catering company. While working as a line cook for another company she was granted the opportunity to curate the dining experiences of Lamman Rucker and professional basketball player Tarik Black.
Since the launch of It’s Effortless Catering she has had the opportunity to cook for numerous dignitaries and celebrities in the Memphis area such as Bishop Jason Nelson, Pastor Kia Moore, The superintendent of Shelby County Schools, and Mayor Jim Strickland.
Encompassing over 9 years of experience serving her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee she has no plans on slowing down. As a chef, she is inspired by the opportunity to consistently create and redefine culinary art to provide customers with an unforgettable dining experience.
